About the Role
As Commercial Insurance Account Executive you are heavily involved in the sales and consulting process for a super regional insurance brokerage that offers holistic risk management and financial services solutions. As the strategic liaison, you lend expertise to middle market and larger accounts across a variety of industries, working closely with producers to build and execute placement strategies to win new business along with deep involvement in service delivery for existing clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
Marketing: The agency does not have a centralized marketing department. Over 50% of your role will be developing marketing plans for prospective new business clients as well as renewals for in-force policies. This requires a lot of relationship building and management with insurance companies to understand pricing, coverage options, and design elements that help secure the most comprehensive and competitive programs.
Client Service: Another substantial part of your oversight will be client delivery. You are involved in the most complex pieces of account management work. The key is knowing how to balance ‘in the weeds’ duties with delegating tasks to others on the team.
Skills & Experience
- At least seven (7) years of senior client management experience. Broad, general risk management Commercial P&C insurance exposure, consistently with middle market accounts no less than $25k in agency revenue (however experience with larger accounts nearing $100k in revenue is highly desired).
- Success handling a huge portion of the marketing process with strong underwriting relationships and excellent negotiating skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading large, diverse books of business along with directing internal efforts of the service team.
- You can walk alongside a client through the whole life cycle of the account, from onboarding to renewal.
