About the Role
The Insurance Sales Manager is a newly created position at a large insurance agency in Colorado. Central to the company’s philosophy is organic growth and hiring new sales talent. Your role is crucial to training, coaching, and mentoring less experienced salespeople throughout various stages of their development. You’ll work closely with agency leadership to achieve desired growth and retention goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and develop new and less experienced producers on sales strategies
- Help your team create and execute business development plans using various techniques that include brand marketing, networking, and cold calling.
- Participate in client and prospect meetings and presentations. Help producers with prospecting and opening doors, moving through the RFP process, and closing new business.
- Monitor KPIs and provide help to reach their production goals.
- Collaborate with agency leaders on best practices and capitalize on cross-selling and co-selling opportunities.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of business sales experience; insurance industry background is preferable.
- Passionate about coaching, mentoring, and leading salespeople.
- Build camaraderie and be out with your team on sales calls and involved with other business development activities that support their success.
