About the Role
A Detroit based independent insurance agency has an immediate opening for an experienced Surety Account Manager supporting a bond portfolio which is heavily focused on contract surety. You will be assigned a book of business to manage on a daily basis – client inquiries, bond requests, underwriting analysis, negotiating terms with underwriters, running client meetings, etc.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships
- Assist clients and staff with service questions related to administration, billing, and claims issues
- Work with the sales and client service team to monitor and manage the renewal process
- Coordinate client meetings to prepare for renewal decisions as well as ultimately present renewal options
- Review claims reports
Skills & Experience
Minimum two (2) years of experience handling policy administration and account management related duties for bond/surety accounts.
