About the Role
Service Operations Manager, Commercial Insurance requires a knowledgeable property and casualty insurance professional who takes a servant leader approach to managing employees. This role is the classic management position in the sense that the company thrives through helping employees grow, develop, and achieve success often because there are strong processes in place that maximize the use of technology and align teams to work under shared common goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and develop employees. Help junior CSRs and Account Managers gain more knowledge and experience working directly with clients and insurance company partners.
- Conduct audits to identify consistent practices and areas for staff improvement to improve efficient and service delivery as well as mitigate E&O exposures.
- Evaluate performance and conduct reviews that help determine compensation, annual bonuses, and career pathing.
- Provide support on escalated service issues.
- Onboard new technologies and build processes that establish best practices for client service, marketing, and renewals.
- Monitor workloads and make adjustments to ensure appropriate account assignment.
- Work closely with agency executives to revenue growth and client retention.
Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial lines product and market knowledge working for an insurance company, agency, or broker.
- Prior management experience is required.
