About the Role
Leading privately owned Commercial Umbrella Underwriting facility offers opportunity to work remote anywhere within the US. Excess casualty specific. No other lines. Growing 46% annually.
Essentially they have two different programs. One is Real Estate driven: hotels, condos, apartments.
The second is essentially a suite of products put together collectively for small businesses that could be anything from retail, contractors, manufactures etc. Anything that is considered Main Street America.
Duties & Responsibilities
Underwrite, analyze, authorize risk acceptability, determine profitable rate/price, and prepare quotations/binders on all aspects of new and renewal business.
Skills & Experience
Experience handling small to medium size accounts; small business (Main Street USA) risks.
Does not require candidates to have excess casualty experience. The number one thing client seeks is people who are classically trained in underwriting.
Candidates must be commercial P&C focused. Someone who is predominately professional liability or work comp won’t be a fit.
Someone with a pattern of 2 year stints of employment will not be considered.
Excellent problem solving/decision making skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation, Benefits, & Perks
