About the Role
Insurance job opening with a large, Top 100 independent insurance broker’s Birmingham team that’s rapidly growing and needs additional support for current and new business clients. As Commercial Insurance Client Manager you collaborate with the producers to strategize on client service initiatives with responsibilities for stewardship, renewal preparation, new business onboarding, remarketing, and risk analysis, all of which strengthens the relationship with insureds, anticipates their needs, and ensures a high level of satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Your focus will be middle market accounts in a variety of risks- some industrial and other white collar- that typically generate at least $300k in premium. The total size of your book could be near or exceed $1M in agency revenue.
- Set timelines and fulfill service plans, looking closely at coverage gaps, ways to enhance coverage, and gaining insight from insurance company partners on potential renewal marketing options.
- Ensure a high level of attention to detail with account maintenance to include accuracy of policy forms, billing, and reporting as well as information requests, claims status, and other inquiries.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum five (5) years in a lead commercial lines account management role; independent agency experience with involvement for the full client life-cycle is required.
- Extensive middle market commercial P&C account expertise with a broad understanding of coverage lines such as GL, property, auto, work comp, professional lines.
