About the Role
A senior opportunity to oversee the strategic client management for a large portfolio of self-funded health and welfare programs as Employee Benefits Consultant. You act as a liaison between corporate clients and insurance careers with the primary goal of managing, retaining, and growing a book of business. Key responsibilities include designing benefits strategies, leading renewal negotiations, managing compliance, and overseeing service teams to ensure high client satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
Most cases exceed 100 lives and requires strong self-funded knowledge.
- Strategic planning- development of multi-year client strategies including plan design, benchmarking, and financial modeling
- Compliance- provide technical expertise on ERISA, ACA, and other regulations
- Client management- be a strategic advisor alongside the sales and service team, participating in meetings, reviews, and presentations
- Renewals- ensure the appropriate information is gathered and analyzed; play a key role in working with insurance companies to put proposals together at favorable rates and terms
Skills & Experience
- Minimum five (5) years of life and health insurance industry experience providing client management & consultation to larger cases
- Senior account manager capabilities including involvement in the sales process (renewal presentations, reviews, carrier negotiations)
- State insurance license
