Tampa area property casualty insurance carrier recognized as “Top Place to Work” currently seeks a commercial lines underwriting professional.
This role will have the opportunity to impact the organization’s business everyday by the evaluation of risks and market conditions that result in a profitable and acceptable price for current/prospective clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review application information and other sources for information
- Develop recommendation regarding the acceptability of a policy and recommended price point
- Respond to agent inquiries regarding risk eligibility and pricing decisions for new business, renewals, and endorsements
- Review Loss Control and Injury Reports
- Contribute to product development efforts
Skills & Experience
- 3 to 5 or more years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting
- Workers’ Compensation and Commercial General Liability and/or multi-line experience needed
