About the Role
100% remote job for Midwest based applicants. As Commercial Insurance Marketer, you work closely with the sales and service team to develop new and renewal marketing plans, providing subject matter expertise on complex property and casualty coverages and support in the pursuit of high client retention. You are also market-facing, building relationships with underwriters and wholesale brokers, staying abreast of market changes and finding ways to develop creative, unique, and competitive programs for clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
As an experienced commercial insurance professional, you will:
- Build insurance programs, reviewing current insurance programs- deductibles, losses, exposures, etc. Then, create a marketing strategy based on your analysis and go to market handling underwriting negotiations.
- Evaluate claims data, pricing trends and coverage enhancements to compose the best possible, most comprehensive insurance program for clients.
- Provide market insight to internal sales and service teams with creative ideas to access competitive markets and structure programs for larger commercial accounts with complex risk portfolios.
- Strengthen relationships with underwriters and insurance company representatives. Possess a working knowledge of the underwriting appetites for key partners, both standard and E&S carriers.
Skills & Experience
- At least five (5) years of commercial insurance experience in marketing/brokering, underwriting, or account management. Applicants from agency and non-agency backgrounds in this role (including wholesale brokers, MGAs, and insurance companies) will be considered.
- Requires a well-rounded commercial property and casualty background with an excellent understanding of rating, risk analysis, and the full-cycle submission process.
