About the Role
The Commercial Insurance Client Executive is a newly created role and the most senior position within a startup brokerage. Funded by a private equity firm that has business interests within the construction industry, the company has diversified into insurance. Your goal is to grow the agency’s revenue and support the team beyond where it is currently by capitalizing on the company’s network of contacts within construction.
Duties & Responsibilities
- You’ll receive warm, prospective client leads from the parent company and work that process to bring new business onboard. You won’t be required to cold call or personally prospect for new business.
- Lead all marketing efforts, working closely with underwriters to construct programs and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Because this is a relatively new brokerage, you’ll help shape how the agency’s services process and internal operations work.
- You lead the RFP process, make client presentations, onboard new accounts, keep a close eye on service delivery, and prepare renewal strategies.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum five (5) years as a Commercial Lines Account Executive with extensive experience handling construction accounts.
- Demonstrated success in relationship building at the C-suite level involving discussions about program design, coverage/pricing negotiations, risk management resources and more.
- Insurance P&C License will be required.
Job Specs
The company would like to find a qualified applicant in the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, or CT) or Miami where they have offices, preferably on a hybrid schedule, but they have some flexibility based on location and commuting considerations.
