About the Role
This is an opportunity to join a regional insurance agency that is experiencing growth and needing capable individuals to come in and make an immediate impact in a marketing capacity in their employee benefits division. Ideally, you will have a strong grasp on non-medical, ancillary lines products and services, including viable contacts with various insurance companies that can provide valuable insight into renewal processes, new products, and access to world class client service.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with new business opportunities and current renewals including preparing and sending out RFP’s, reviewing, analyzing, summarizing quotes, and proposal preparation where necessary
- Timely response and follow up with carrier partners as well as internal team of all client renewals out to market
- Run and distribute various client reports on an ongoing basis
- Provide a high level marketing analysis for renewal meeting, including financial analysis
- Help calculate loss ratios and premium increases
- Retrieve and update client experience reports, including identification of trends
- Lead rate negotiations with carriers and identify issues/gaps in coverage
- Review benefit offerings for account-rounding opportunities
- Documentation of all activities in Epic
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years working in ancillary benefits, preferably in an agency setting
- Strong working knowledge of a wide range of products and services with insurance carriers that offer products such as dental, life, disability, and more
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Compensation, Benefits, & Perks
$60-80,000 + bonus + competitive benefits package + fully remote work schedule, with a preference toward close proximity to an office for occasional meetings
