Claims Specialist – Property & Casualty Insurance

About the Role

As Claims Specialist you join a Connecticut independent insurance agency’s Property and Casualty team. You assist with the in-take of new claims and monitor the process for commercial lines and personal lines clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Field calls from insureds reporting new claims. Create files, gather information, and help submit to the insurance company.
  • Monitor claims progress. Provide advocacy. Review policies and provide support to clients on costs, coverage, and potential outcomes.

Skills & Experience

  • At least 2-3 years of property and casualty insurance experience with involvement in claims reporting.
  • Broad P&C coverage knowledge to include auto, General Liability, property, and others. 
  • Detail oriented and highly organized; strong communication skills and works well in a team.
