About the Role

Workers Compensation Claims Advocate is an immediate job opening with an independent insurance agency in Phoenix. You will be the ‘go-to’ liaison for all work comp claims activity serving as a liaison and advocate on behalf of clients for the best possible claim outcome. You’ll employ the agency’s resources to ensure that the client’s interests are protected.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of work comp claims, including preparing loss notice and reporting claim to carrier; follow up on a regular basis to make sure claim is progressing; keep insured and producer updated on status
  • Coordinate between client and insurer to discuss all aspects of coverage and assist with resolution of coverage issues
  • Take proactive role in client advocacy in all aspects of claims
  • Conduct claim reviews as needed

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5+ years of work comp claims adjusting experience
  • Active Arizona Property/Casualty or Adjuster License (or ability to transfer existing license)
  • Demonstrated knowledge in areas of investigation, reserving, and coverage analysis
  • Ability to negotiate with carrier adjusters to positively impact the outcome of a claim
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, to internal and external parties
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and carriers


$65,000 to $80,000
