About the Role
New MGA launch transforming insurance into a positive, risk-preventing force for small businesses seeks experienced Business Development/Sales insurance professional for their rapidly growing team.
As a Territory Sales Manager you are responsible for sourcing and developing high quality leads with prospective retail agents and converting them to a successful appointment. You will be a key contributor as they further develop the user experience and expand their products. This position will help drive sales strategies as they evolve from a startup into a multi-line, countrywide underwriting organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Research and recruit prospective agents
- Conduct follow-up activities including demos, meetings, and otherwise supporting the agent’s needs
- Attend industry events to professionally promote company to new potential trading partners
- Maintain a high-level view of offerings, thoroughly understanding the underwriting guidelines and customer service standards to attract quality agents
Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of business development/sales experience within commercial property casualty insurance
- Retail agency relationships within one or more of these states: OH, IN, MN, IL, WI
- Comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Detail oriented, with strong accompanying written and oral communication skills
- Able to effectively communicate complex concepts to multiple types of audience
