About the Role
The Senior Employee Benefits Analyst joins a Top 100 independent, privately held insurance broker’s robust Health & Welfare practice to perform data analytics and complete special projects. This role manages large projects from inception and design through post-implementation assessment. A key to success is your ability to lead conversations with clients and present your findings to them and key business leaders. This position definitely has a client-facing element.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate regulatory changes and identify impacts to existing tools, reports, and databases
- Assess data of existing group employee benefit clients; conduct financial analysis of relevant information to aid in the evaluation of plan performance
- Utilize analytical tools and other utilization data available to identify emerging trends, patterns, and anomalies in claims
- Meet with clients to explain external market influencers and internal experience trends driving benefit costs
Skills & Experience
- At least five (5) years of insurance industry career experience working in a group benefits environment gathering, manipulating, and deciphering data
- Strong analytical and research expertise
