About the Role
Leading specialty insurance provider seeks Management level legal professional for Manager of their Coverage Counsel department. Will provide legal guidance related to Casualty and Workers’ Compensation claims coverage issues and coverage litigation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads coverage counsel team of attorneys primarily engaged in drafting of coverage opinions
- Supports Claims on coverage issues, related to commercial lines coverages
- Works closely with internal business partners to provide strategic and proactive legal advice on coverage matters, including but not limited to understanding, interpreting, and applying current law and regulations
Skills & Experience
- 10+ years minimum of insurance coverage experience
- Must have a JD from an accredited law school and be currently licensed to practice law in at least one state
- Previous management or supervisory experience of at least 3 years
- Experience with commercial lines coverages
- Fluency in translating legal advice into actionable guidance for business teams
Compensation
$150k to $175k
