Duties & Responsibilities

To lead the Employee Benefits division, you must be an accomplished Health & Welfare insurance professional with diverse knowledge of operations, sales, and underwriting functions.

  • Lead employee benefits program administration including the automation of internal processes, administration of self-funded benefits plans, and regulatory compliance.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills and knowledge of market issues to evaluate market trends, prepare analysis, and make recommendations to clients and the senior leadership team.
  • Oversee the establishment of rates and prices for products and formulate correlations to company strategies based on internal and external research.
  • Create a proactive talent development pipeline to meet current and future hiring needs.
  • Develop and maintain carrier relationships.
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of leadership. Gain commitment from clients, colleagues, and employees. Ensure engagement, performance, and accountability in strategic initiatives.
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability by developing strategies to retain and attract new business.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree + at least ten (10) years of progressive employee benefit administration experience including operations and business development/marketing leadership experience within the health insurance industry.
  • Bring a spirit of innovation and creativity to leading a contemporary insurance agency employee benefits practice. Offer expertise in building diverse revenue streams, program development, and gaining market share/profitability.
