About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Transportation Producer to join this up and coming insurance brokerage located in greater Chicago. As the Commercial Transportation Producer, you will be responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing client relationships within the commercial transportation insurance sector. You will play a vital role in identifying potential clients, assessing their risk profiles, and developing tailored insurance solutions to meet their specific needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial transportation industry. Build and expand a network of potential clients through targeted marketing efforts, referrals, and industry relationships.
  • Analyze and evaluate client operations, fleet composition, safety practices, and regulatory compliance to provide comprehensive and tailored insurance solutions.
  • Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate terms, secure competitive quotes, and place insurance coverage on behalf of clients.
  • Implement risk management strategies to minimize client exposures, enhance safety practices, and reduce claims frequency and severity.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial transportation insurance, such as trucking, logistics, or fleet insurance.
  • Strong track record in business development and generating new commercial accounts.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial transportation insurance products, coverage forms, and underwriting principles.
  • Proficient in insurance industry software and technology platforms.
