About the Role
Join a sophisticated risk management division at a large insurance brokerage as the Commercial Insurance Claims Advocate with responsibility for oversight and management of complex property and casualty claims. From industrial risks to professional services, the company represents a diverse portfolio of clients. You embody the care, education, and advocacy that’s important to every phase of the process, from intake and reporting to follow up and complete resolution.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate the claims management process to improve customer satisfaction. Track claims status with carriers and TPAs. Maintain files in the agency’s management system. Provide status updates and reports keeping internal partners and clients apprised of claim development.
- Provide insight to the sales and service team as well as clients directly on coverage eligibility.
- Handle claim conflict matters with underwriters, adjusters, and attorneys.
- Engage in stewardship, client meetings, and other strategic conversations to help set expectations and timelines on claims matters as well as maintaining open and continuous communication to strengthen the overall client:broker relationship.
- Recommend enhancements to agency workflows and claims handling to improve client satisfaction and retention.
Skills & Experience
- At least five (5) years of commercial property and casualty claims handling and process management.
- Adept at utilizing carrier online claims systems and interpreting applicable claims data.
- Ability to manage timelines and deadlines to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate claims reporting, tracking, and resolution in the best interest of the client.
