About the Role

The Commercial Insurance Account Manager opportunity is well suited for an experienced client service professional who is interested in adding supervisory duties to their client advocacy work. Because such a large component of this position remains account management focused, prior management experience isn’t required. With the right leadership traits and skills, you could step into this role to assume a large book of legacy commercial lines business while also growing in your leadership abilities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Expect the typical flow of your day at the account manager desk to include:

  • Client Engagement: Take the lead on incoming calls, inquiries, and fulfilling service requests
  • Marketing renewal accounts
  • Renewals: Initiate the process, manage timelines, and pull together resources holding the sales and resources teams accountable for meeting deadlines

Skills & Experience

  • At least five (5) years of Commercial P&C insurance experience; retail agency tenure is required
  • Proficiency working with broad property and casualty policy forms and coverage; the book is described as middle market & generalist but has several clients in manufacturing & real estate
  • State insurance license

Job Specs

Location: Columbus, OH; however, the company can consider having you work from another office location (Cleveland or Cincinnati) provided you are available to travel to the office approximately 4-6 times/month for important client and team meetings.
