A newly created position, the Senior Accountant, Investment Accounting is an addition to an insurance company’s corporate accounting team that is at capacity and needs someone like you who can record, report and analyze investment activity for the organization. As part of the department, you'll prepare and review investment schedules for internal and external reporting and filings.
Responsibilities: A sophisticated, growing insurance company headquartered in Kansas, they see this position as a terrific opportunity with tons of career growth in the financial services industry. You have multiple levels of recording, reporting and analysis review. A shorthand snippet includes:
- Complete investment journal entries (in the general ledger system, PeopleSoft)
- Prep quarterly statements (audited GAAP financial statements)
- Review and interpret investment agreements
Additionally, the team is looking for you to help identity ways enhance, improve and facilitate more efficient performance and workflows.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 2-4 years of progressive experience with increasing responsibilities. Public accounting experience preferred. Knowledge of investments is required.
