This opportunity provides a talented insurance accounting professional to be part of a travel, insurance and financial services group offering auto and home insurance to the Carolinas.
The Insurance Divisional Controller will be part of a growing team at the corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC. We are seeking a highly motivated accounting professional who will be responsible for ensuring that transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policy, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP, Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP), statutory reporting guidelines and internal controls. The position requires a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail. The Insurance Divisional Controller is an integral member of the Accounting team and will be responsible for overseeing the entire Insurance division’s accounting processes for multiple companies. This includes preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, monthly internal financial statements, budgets, quarterly and annual statement statutory filings. This position reports directly to the Director of Finance.
Experience we seek
- CPA with minimum of 6 years accounting experience with at least 4 years’ experience in the property casualty insurance industry.
- Knowledge of GAAP, Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP), statutory reporting guidelines and internal controls.
