The Group Benefits Underwriter, Financial Analyst is a key contributor to this retail insurance broker’s consulting team. Given how proficient you are crunching numbers, you have an understanding of experience rated health insurance that lets the sales and service team really impact clients’ renewals, control pricing and prepare quality presentations to secure new business.
A Glimpse into Your Duties
- Working for a retail brokerage, you perform underwriting, financial and risk analysis support to producers and Account Executives.
- Delve into the marketing process (data gathering, RFP presentation, proposal review and presentation prep)
- Review alternative coverage and pricing plans. Focus on self-funded design, budge/reserve calculations and employee contribution strategies.
To be considered for this role the agency wants at least two (2) years of group employee benefits underwriting or brokerage consulting experience. Bachelor’s degree + experience rated/self-funded analysis, rating and renewal exposure.
