Our client is respected, financially sound commercial insurer with an A rating through A.M. Best.   They seek an accomplished executive with a track record of leadership and division growth to join the company as Underwriting Operations Director.  This position will be involved in underwriting and operational improvements through the use of enhanced processes and technologies. Your goal is to take into account the impact efficient systems has on customer service, the company's various business segments and underwriting utility.

Underwriting Operations Director Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and maintain an integrated operations platform.

  • Implement operational changes based on competitor benchmarking and customer engagement.

  • Help with underwriting process training; overall lead engagements for supervision and training of assigned staff.

  • Oversight of policy services and systems management; co-implement projects with underwriting, business analytics and the executive team.

Underwriting Operations Director Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in an insurance company with accountability for underwriting operations, processes and procedures.

  • Strong process engineering and design implementation skills.

  • Working knowledge of insurance processes, including product management, state filings, underwriting, rating, policy processing, billing, and agency management preferred.
