Insurance Job Description

Our client is a financially strong property & casualty carrier providing insurance primarily for small businesses.  They presently offer an opportunity to join their claims team in a leadership role.  This position will have overall responsibility for performance of the property claims unit. 

Claims Manager-Property Responsibilities:

  • Train, coach and mentor claims staff.

  • Oversight of commercial property claims team.

  • Assure compliance with relevant regulatory law and with the company’s contractual and legal obligation.

  • Small pending of more complex/higher exposure claims. 

Claims Manager-Property Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with commercial property claims as well as the supervision and development of staff. 

  • Undergraduate degree.

  • Work toward completion of applicable industry designations.

  • Proficiency in assigning and analyzing investigations, evaluating coverage, determining loss value, and superior negotiation skills are required. 

  • In addition to having managerial responsibilities, this position will have a pending of complex cases.
