Commercial Lines Claims Consultant Insurance Job

Our client is a leading independent agency in the Midwest that is currently looking for an experienced commercial multi-line claims professional to join their team in Madison.  This individual will be responsible for providing claims support and assistance to clients on a day-to-day basis.  In this role you will proactively service and manage commercial claims with an emphasis on maintaining excellent customer relations, assisting and maintaining standardized agency claims procedures and the agency automation system, partnering and reviewing claims with sales and/or management, as well as continuously developing the claims process. 

Commercial Lines Claims Consultant Responsibilities

• Manage claims reporting and coverage information for clients and insurance carriers.

• Develop and maintain claims activities and reports on claim status for clients.

• Think strategically about the current claims management process and introduce ideas for continuous improvement.

• Manage large loss claims and proactively communicate status to the team.

• Mediate disputes and assist insured with solutions.

• Obtain loss information from clients and complete and forward proper loss documents to the assigned carrier in a timely manner. 

Commercial Lines Claims Consultant Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.

• 5-10 years of commercial multi-line claims handling experience. Workers Comp experience not required.

• Experience handling claims arising from these industries helpful but not required: construction, manufacturing, schools/municipalities, transportation.

• State insurance license required with AIC designation preferred.
