Insurance Job Description

Our client is in the process of rolling out industry-leading, sophisticated rate plans and agency systems in the small commercial insurance market. They offer an opportunity to join their dynamic organization in a VP of Commercial Product Development position. In this role you will be responsible and accountable for strategic and operational activities associated with developing new products, program management, marketing communications, Industry Edge Branding and related training. In this capacity, ensures that results for each product, program and/or service support overall profitability, growth and retention of Commercial Lines business and are consistent with all related underwriting initiatives.

VP, Commercial Product Development Responsibilities:

  • Develop long and short term business strategies

  • Develop and direct the responsible product development

  • Establish policies and direct the analysis of information to support the development of products

  • Responsible for all profit and loss / growth of Portfolio

VP, Commercial Product Development Qualifications:

  • Commercial Lines and/or Personal Lines business experience preferred.

  • Fundamental knowledge of actuarial and financial techniques.

  • Leadership.

  • Strong communication skills that demonstrate flexibility to adjust to all audiences.

  • Strong analytical ability to dissect, manage and interpret management information.

  • Strong ability to influence.

  • Responsive and decisive decision making.

  • Expert level skill in Microsoft Excel.
