Our client is rated A+ by A.M. Best. They are a specialist and leader in their niche. They currently offer an opportunity to join their underwriting department.  In this Commercial Lines (Truck) Underwriter position you will be responsible for writing a profitable, quality book of business dealing with their niche policies and coverages. This includes selecting, pricing and monitoring risks while maintaining quality business relationships.

Commercial Lines Underwriter (Truck) Responsibilities:

  • Review applications on new and renewal business for fleet accounts. 

  • Answer questions and consult with agents/insureds regarding policy coverage, driver problems and other related issues.  Assist agents with marketing and sales to accounts.  

  • Travel to agencies 2-3 days/month to develop agency relationships, conduct training as needed.

Commercial Lines Underwriter (Truck) Qualifications:

  • 4 year college degree.

  • 4 to 8 years of underwriting experience.

  • Truck underwriting experience.

  • Experience with fleet accounts and handling SIR's.

  • Work towards the CPCU designation preferred.
