Our client is the first service to provide affordable and easy-to-use weather coverage to protect revenue and control costs for the millions of businesses impacted by the weather. Our client is well funded and backed by one of the world's largest weather risk and catastrophe reinsurance fund managers. Our client is seeking several entrepreneurial minded Crop Insurance Sales Professionals to develop relationships with brokers and retail agencies. The strategic plan focuses on development of the agency force, including recruiting, sales training, terminating, and overall agency placement. The plan focuses on generating premium from the sale of our client's innovative and unique weather insurance products. The position requires intensive interaction with appointed and prospective channel partners, primarily crop insurance agencies.  Present target locations for hires include: Jacksonville, FL; Lubbock, TX; Lansing, MI; Omaha, NE. 

Territory Sales Manager - Crop Insurance Responsibilities:

  • Develop a highly effective agency network by initiating and supporting agent strategic development activities.

  • Help plan and direct new products and programs.

  • Main point of contact for agent questions, training and education.

  • Develop new business by engaging new agents.

  • Conduct sales presentations to agents in small or large forums on client's products and related agricultural subjects.  

Territory Sales Manager - Crop Insurance Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of production agriculture.

  • Strong selling, relationship and consultation skills.

  • Solid understanding of the principles of risk management.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Ideally, extensive experience managing insurance agency relationships and developing agency partner programs.

  • Strong computer and internet knowledge.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, preferably in Business or an Agricultural Sciences discipline.

  • Ideally, 5 or more years experience in sales positions in a channel sales oriented Agriculture products company, preferably crop insurance.

  • Ideally, well connected with a solid rolodex of crop insurance agents in your respective market(s).
