Insurance Job Description

Our client has more than 60 years of expertise in actuarial analysis, policy form development, and regulatory filings.  They are a recognized leader in customized product research and design.  They currently offer an opportunity for a successful seasoned Actuary to take charge of their actuarial department as the Chief Actuary. The Chief Actuary position is available and responsible for the leadership of the Actuarial Department and implementation of actuarial projects and services. Functions include: planning, product development, pricing, and custom consulting projects

Chief Actuary Responsibilities:

  • Pricing and Loss Costs

  • Research and develop new methods to use data from participating companies and external sources for rate making, risk classification and product development

  • Provide leadership to internal departments and clients to solve business problems involving actuarial pricing issues

Chief Actuary Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of insurance related data and reporting

  • Knowledge of insurance property casualty business, products and regulatory requirements

  • FCAS designation or working towards that designation, Minimum ACAS

  • At least 8 years experience in the insurance industry
