Director of Operational Review/Audit you will lead
and coordinate operational review of underwriting and claims operations
at the company’s profit centers.
Director
of Operational Review/Audit Responsibilities:
Staffing and
planning the review.
Interviewing
departmental personnel and senior management.
Coordinating
the work of the review team members.
Assessing the
practices, procedures, and results of the subject department.
Assessing the
effectiveness of the organizational structure, staffing, and
management information.
Leading
closing meetings and delivering feedback.
Preparing the
written report and recommendations.
Following up
on implementation of recommendations.
Automating,
standardizing and continuously improving the review process and
reporting procedures.
Director
of Operational Review/Audit Requirements
Seasoned
commercial P&C insurance professional (over 10 years).
Exposure
to more than one insurance organization
either through
working at a few different companies
or through an
audit or reinsurance role
Expertise in
one or more of the following functional areas:
financial
underwriting
(been underwriter and manager and been involved with best practices
development and monitoring)
claims (been
an adjuster, and manager and been involved with development and
monitoring of best practices)
compliance -
legal/regulatory.
Diversified
insurance experience
admitted and
non-admitted
standard lines
and specialty lines
reinsurance
and primary
Some prior
experience in audit or quality review processes in respective
functional area
Director
of Operational Review/Audit Skills and
characteristics:
Strong leader
and manager - be able to manage a diverse group of team members.
Have presence
to and experience in dealing with senior management.
Good at relationship
building, influencing and persuading.
Strong project
management and organization skills.
Ability to
work independently and has strong work ethic .
Good
communicator (verbal and written).
Willing to
roll up sleeves and do work.
Excellent
computer and data analysis skills.
