Our client has a long and successful history of providing quality insurance products that dates back over 50 years. Today, they are among the top 50 Property and Casualty Insurance companies in the country and rank as one of the largest writers of non-standard automobile insurance through independent insurance agents. They presently offer an opportunity to join their organization as a Senior Auditor, of Material Damage Claims Program. In this role you will develop, oversee and conduct the evaluation of the quality control process for material damage evaluation to include re-inspection of vehicles and/or appraisals to verify technical accuracy and to monitor body shop activities.  Take a lead role in the handling and investigation of potential fraud or theft involving employees and vendors. Complete regional and specialty audits relative to material damage estimates.  Measure variance and compliance results against state and company guidelines.

Senior Auditor, Material Damage Responsibilities:

  • Reviews, evaluates and makes recommendations for set up and monitoring of the quality control process to evaluate the accuracy of material damage assessment and for quality control of body shops and other related vendors.

  • Reviews appraisals written by adjusters, staff appraisers, independent appraisers or repair facilities to evaluate quality, technical skill and ensure adherence to company and state standards.

  • Inspects, evaluates and observes repair facilities, drive-in locations, salvage yards and other areas related to material damage repair to ensure accurate/quality work and to identify potential areas of concern.  

  • Participates in and/or conducts audits. 

Senior Auditor, Material Damage Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in the auto insurance industry with a high level of expertise in material damage evaluation and repair. 

  • Experience in development of quality assurance programs, knowledge of the automobile repair business and claims handling process including state regulations required.  Body shop and management experience preferred.

  • Experience with re-inspections of automobile repairs at various stages required.

  • Must have high level of knowledge of the inter-workings of body shops, repair programs and vendors in the industry.

  • Must have high level of technical knowledge in automobile design, construction and repair.

  • Must display a high level of independent thinking and analytical skills and the ability to effectively interact with a wide variety of contacts.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
