Our client is one of the world's largest commercial and industrial property insurance and risk management organizations specializing in property protection. They have an AM Best rating of A+. Currently they offer an opportunity to join their claims team in Norwalk, CT, Parsippany, NJ and Norwood, MA as Commercial Property Claims Adjusters.

Commercial Property Adjuster responsibilities:

  • In this position you will investigate, measure, document, resolve and settle all assigned claims within the insuring agreement in an equitable manner.

  • You will provide assistance in determining the extent of coverage afforded under the insurance policy; negotiate claim settlements and make prompt payment.

  • Assist in loss mitigation, salvage, restoration of production, claims preparation and subrogation.

  • Claims will be handled from beginning to end including any necessary field work.  

Commercial Property Adjuster requirements:

  • This position requires a 4 year college degree along with 2 plus years of field experience handling commercial property losses.

  • You must be  results driven; possess effective oral, verbal and written communication skills and IT skills; possess strong interpersonal skills including negotiating and consulting; have good organization skills; and possess the ability to make quick and sound recommendations.

  • The position is both office and field based. You must be willing to travel at short notice and work out of town as required in order to effectively manage assigned losses
