Insurance Job Description

Our client is an international property and casualty insurance company.  They sell specialty insurance products and programs to a variety of niche markets.  Their focus and market strategy enables them to develop expertise and specialized market knowledge.  They seek experienced sales and marketing professionals to expand their specialty P&C programs in the Southeast and Midwest.

Marketing Representative Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for identifying prospects with the intent of proposing and selling through direct solicitation or through partnership with retail agents

  • You'll assist local agencies in identifying niche markets and by making joint sales calls

  • You'll work to expand our client's specialty product lines: social services, Accident & Health, sports, and personal lines

  • You'll also provide in-field sales and marketing support to other company initiatives

  • You'll participate in local target industry organizations or trade groups in support of our individual account niche business development activities

Marketing Representative Qualifications

  • College degree with 3-5 years of sales and marketing experience with specialty P&C and personal lines insurance products

  • Experience working as a carrier rep or retail agent with successful production and growth of assigned territories

  • Ability to learn new products, forge local alliances and build a strong reputation for ethics and results in targeted areas

  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication and proven analytical problem solving skills
