Insurance Job Description

Our client is a large insurance agency recognized as a national leader in the size and scope of its risk management operations.  They are a relationship driven firm focused on impacting many specialized P&C and employee benefits markets.  They seek experienced professionals with experience taking the lead role as Employee Benefits Account Managers.  This position is an external, client interfacing role responsible for administration, on-site enrollments and regular meetings with clients to discuss customer service. Depending on the size and complexity of the book this can very easily assume senior level duties within the agency's service team.

Group Employee Benefits Account Managers Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact in a client service capacity to existing clients.

  • Administer marketing and renewals as well as daily service functions.

  • Develop and manage short and long range benefit strategies for clients to foster strong relationships.

  • Assist in the mentoring of the account service team and act as a resource to the department

  • Coordinate and manage the activities of marketing and renewals, recommending measures to improve satisfaction, performance, and cost

  • Participate in market meetings, seminars, and training programs as directed

Group Employee Benefits Account Manager Requirements:

  • A minimum of three (3) years group benefits service experience as an Account Manager or Account Executive.

  • Active participation in strategic client manager; be able to balance internal administration with out of the office relationship building and consultation.

  • Hold an active WA L&H license.
