Insurance Job Description

Our client is one of the largest excess and surplus wholesale brokers in the country.  They believe strongly in providing the best service possible as an insurance intermediary.  They focus on providing their clients with accurate information and timely responses that help bring new business to the organization.  Their underwriting department seeks an underwriting assistant with a strong focus in customer service to support the production team. Your role is to support the production team with quotes, declinations, and requests from clients for additional information.  You'll also prepare policies, endorsements, billing statements, and organize submission files. 

Underwriting Assistant Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of underwriting assistant and/or customer service experience within the insurance industry

  • Knowledge of marketing, quoting, and binding insurance policies

  • Strong math and computer skills

  • Team oriented approach with the ability to develop strong client relationships

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
