Insurance Job Description

A growing independent insurance agency in Little Rock seeks an experienced Accounting Specialist to join their team.  This role will assume responsibilities for payables, receivables and reconciling of agency commissions.

Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:

  • You'll maintain confidentiality of all accounting transactions and employee records

  • You'll reconcile operating payables (bills) and company payables as well as direct billing statements between the agency and insurance company, commission entries and surplus lines taxes.

Accounting Specialist Qualifications:

  • At least two (2) year of accounting experience; any insurance industry experience is helpful but not required.

  • College degree in accounting is preferred.

  • Computer skills required (Excel is a must) with the ability to adjust to new systems quickly.
