Insurance Job Description

Our client is a large, independent broker focused on building continuous relationships with clients.  They believe providing full insurance services, including diverse employee benefits options, promotes the efficiency and profitability of clients and the agency. They seek to strengthen their market presence with the selection of a senior employee benefits practice leader.  As VP, Employee Benefits you'll be required to lead a sales team by your own production example and work closely in the development of the service team relying on years of industry experience.  This position requires a strong sales acumen to develop new business opportunities while crafting how a benefits division will influence the growth and profitability of an agency.  It will provide opportunities for you to determine product offerings, the structure of the agency's backroom support, what marketing relationships are in place, and the direction of growth for target groups of middle market groups.   

VP Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive success in group employee benefits production and sales management

  • Demonstrated experience leading sales teams including mentorship and ongoing producer training/development

  • Management experience includes strategic product positioning, supporting marketing efforts, budget forecasting, and some operations leadership

  • Preference given to agency candidates who offer business connections in the Denver metro or statewide business community

  • Ability to capitalize on cross selling opportunities and working independently to source new business leads
