Our client is a professional, well respected Chicago insurance agency focused on building continuous relationships with clients.  They are a leader in providing progressive risk management programs as a single source for all their clients’ benefits needs.  Long before these services were trendy, our client has always discussed wellness, HR consulting, and executive benefits plans with all insureds.  They are a relationship driven firm seeking an experienced Group Employee Benefits Account Manager to assist producers with the growth and retention of group employee benefits accounts.  You are an important member of the client service team responsible for making sure administrative functions involved in customer service are completed in a timely and thorough manner.  You'll have a support team of accomplished colleagues to serve as resources when managing marketing, communication, and enrollments.  An important aspect of this role will be to strengthen client relationships so its important, when called upon, you are able to articulate specific aspects of the program to the client for ongoing policy support. 

As Group Benefits Account Manager

  • Provide marketing and client service support for designated prospects and clients.   Help facilitate  the submission (RFP) process, secure information to effectively market to all carrier partners, prepare submissions for marketing, request data from insurance companies, review proposals and complete benefit and rate comparison, and communicate strategies with the client. 

  • You'll act as a liaison between the client and insurance companies in order to resolve all normal service issues regarding billing, claims, eligibility, and other customer service issues.

  • You can maintain a high standard of client service including promptly reply to inquiries, provide pertinent information and communication assistance with enrollments and website design, and be diligent in follow through regarding billing or coverage issues. 

Group Benefits Account Manager Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of group employee benefits client service experience managing a variety of administrative and client centered account management tasks.

  • Familiarity with a broad range of group benefits products including group medical, dental, vision, short & long term disability.

  • Desire to interact with the client on daily service issues and be able to manage those problems from start to finish to their satisfaction.

  • Experienced with fully funded and self-insured risks ranging from 50 lives to 500 lives.

  • Ability to prepare and analyze the following:  claims history, pricing analysis, coverage options and availability.

  • Hold IL L&H license or able to obtain one quickly upon hire
