Insurance Job Description

Our client's risk management services address the challenges faced by insureds in an aggressive legal environment.  They understand the obstacles public entities face when trying to ensure the safety of their employees and that of the public.  Their consultative solutions are prepared to manage the day to day exposures with such programs as safety committee development, employment practices training, and accident investigation.  They seek an experienced risk management professional, with significant public entity exposure, to join their team. 

As AVP, Risk Management

  • You'll be responsible for the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures for a large public entity program based in Illinois and Missouri

  • You'll work closely with external reinsurance clients, legal counsel, and claims counsel on coordination of resources and services available to insureds

  • You'll provide significant face to face time consulting clients on programs, monitoring performance, and communicating the results to insurance representatives

AVP, Risk Management Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of risk management, loss control, or safety services experience with municipalities/public entity risks

  • Experience creating educational programs like Defensive Driver Training, Blood Born Pathogens Training, Violence in the Workplace, Facility Exposure Analysis, and OSHA compliance

  • Highly organized and self-directed willing to travel extensively to see clients from Chicago to St. Louis

  • Insurance industry background is not needed; preference will be given to candidates with a law enforcement background or experience working within a public entity organization
