Insurance Job Description

Our client is an independent agency serving businesses in the Gulf Coast for over 100 years.  Their company's philosophies are based on customer service, dedication, and innovation in risk management serving large accounts.  One way our client distinguishes themselves from its competitors is through the role played by the Account Executive of Marketing & Risk Management.  This position first serves as a sales and marketing consultant to attract large account business and aid in the renewal of existing accounts.  This position is an intricate part of working with clients to assess their exposures and create a risk management program.

Commercial Account Executive Responsibilities

  • Provide a broad range of client services including, but not limited to, conducting site visits, designing insurance and risk management programs, constructing underwriting submissions, arranging and participating in safety services, responding to client inquiries, and addressing all other issues related to client service as required

  • Conduct and lead claim reviews with the client, producer, and insurance company on a regular basis

  • Spearhead marketing efforts to prepare, plan, and deliver proposals to clients with the producer

  • Provide oversight, direction, and training to a service staff and be accountable for retention and customer service standards 

Commercial Account Executive Qualifications

  • At least 10-15 years of insurance experience with an emphasis on the management of large accounts

  • Prior background in safety management or sales is helpful but strongest attributes must be a combination of underwriting, marketing, and client service

  • Knowledge of alternative risk financing programs like SIRs and captives needed

  • Multi-line P&C experience with particular emphasis on complex commercial industries like construction, manufacturing, public entity, transportation, and marine

  • College degree with industry designations like ARM, AU or CPCU preferred

  • Preference given to candidates who understand the intricacies of Gulf Coast exposures along with personal and professional ties to the area
