Insurance Job Description

Our client is a large regional insurance agency that is also part of a very large international financial organization.  They have an immediate need for a Sales Representative to join their employee benefits division in their office location in Mt. Laurel or South Glen Falls.  They seek a dynamic individual who will be able to have an immediate impact and contribute from day one. 

Small Business Employee Benefits Producer Responsibilities

  • Sell insurance products and services to referred prospects or current customers through inbound or outbound call efforts.

  • Obtain information from prospects to determine which products and services may be appropriate and explain them to the prospect.

  • Work with carrier partners to market and quote new business.

  • Ensure that customer information is complete and accurate before transitioning to service team.

  • Obtain prospect lists and referrals from other departments to generate additional sales.

  • Contact those prospects by phone, email, and mail to arrange meetings and close sales.

  • Cross sell other company products and services with appropriate internal business lines. 

Small Business Employee Benefits Producer Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.

  • 3-5 years of related sales experience in the insurance industry preferred.

  • State licenses required to sell group life & health products.
