Insurance Job Description

Our client has been a stable force in the insurance industry for many years and has experienced continued growth in their Life & Annuity division.  They are seeking a dynamic candidate to lead a team of individuals in their Agency Services area.  You will lead a well-trained staff that delivers efficient and accurate service for functions occurring from receipt of contract application through payment of commissions.

Manager, Agency Services Responsibilities

  • Coordinate workflow, ensuring that service standards are met including, but not limited to, agent appointments, inbound and outbound telephone calls, contract issues, commission issues, follow-ups on outstanding requirements, quality assurance, and handling of miscellaneous mail.

  • Develop, mentor and train staff to provide high quality service to the agency field force and internal departments

  • Expected to promote teamwork and allocate resources to ensure that the entire team is providing consistent service regardless of distribution channel.

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products and services, computer systems, and business processes in relation to both life and annuity offerings.

  • Maintain internal procedures that comply with current state insurance and government regulations.

  • Craft business solutions for handling fluctuations in agency volume - monitor workflow, and analyze and resolve backlog situations so that high volume periods of work go smoothly.

Manager, Agency Services Requirements

  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.

  • 2-3 years of leadership experience required, preferably within life and annuity products.

  • Results oriented team player with a high sense of accountability ideal.
