Insurance Job Description

Our client is a large broker that is looking aggressively to add to their sales staff here in Des Moines.  This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team that is looking for dynamic salespeople with excellent communication skills and a desire to grow in their insurance career. 

Sales Representative, Commercial Lines Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of prospect development from initial client contact through closing.

  • Focus on defining and interpreting the insurance needs of a prospect and identifying solutions to address those needs.

  • Discuss new business opportunities with appropriate markets/underwriters and provide them with complete information.

  • Evaluate quotes from markets/underwriters and prepare proposals for client review.

  • Ensure a transparent transition of the client to an account manager or carrier service center.

  • Communicate client needs and binding instructions to carriers.

  • Ensure that all regulatory requirements are met and comply with all internal policies and procedures. 

Sales Representative, Commercial Lines Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 2-3 years of sales experience required working with Commercial Lines Property & Casualty products and services.

  • Commercial lines insurance license required.
