Our client has over 100 years of experience providing financial security for clients across the country and is rated A+ by A.M. Best.  They are currently seeking a Regional Sales Director for their Retirement Services Division in Chicago servicing institutional clients with $25 million and above in defined contribution assets. 

Regional Sales Director, Retirement Services Responsibilities

  • Identify and build relationships with key middle market and large market retirement plan intermediaries such as national and regional consulting firms.

  • Coordinate team selling presentations including strategy and practice sessions.

  • Facilitate the pricing and fund selection process pertaining to new business within assigned region.

  • Work closely with the internal wholesaler and the RFP team to meet the requirements of each submitted Request-For-Proposal within assigned territory.

  • Support in-force business sales-related activities within assigned region.

  • Help coordinate all aspects of the new business conversion process.

  • Attend industry conferences and speaking engagements as necessary.

Regional Sales Director, Retirement Services Requirements

  • Minimum of 6-10 years of sales experience with institutional 401k and retirement plans.

  • Proven sales ability in the defined benefit and defined contribution markets, especially with accounts that total $25 million and above in total assets.

  • Proven experience responding to requests for proposals and managing that entire process.

  • NASD Series 6 and 63 licenses required, specific state life/health licenses helpful.

  • Ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
