Insurance Job Description
Our
client is a well respected insurance company that is looking to fill a
critical role in their commercial mortgage department. You will be
responsible for the management and disposition of distressed loans that
are moving toward and through the foreclosure process as well as
properties that are real estate owned (REO).

Asset/Disposition Manager Responsibilities
Monitor loans moving through the foreclosure process to ensure that
foreclosure actions are completed in a timely manner, according to
company, state, and federal guidelines, minimizing losses to the
company - may work with attorneys to document foreclosure proceedings.
Create
an encompassing strategy in order to manage, enhance and create value
for a diversified REO portfolio.
Review
the REO portfolio and establish a plan of action for ultimate
disposition at the highest price possible while minimizing hold time,
carrying costs, and loss severity.
Formulate opinions of value on distressed as well as work out
properties supported by market research and third party reports.
Analyze repair bids to determine the cost benefits and arrange
property preservation to enhance the marketability of properties and
implement such strategies upon approval from management.
Establish a strong rapport and work closely with third party property
managers, leasing and sales agents to provide direction for oversight
of business plans, budgets, forecasts, leases, analysis and approvals.
Negotiate leases, property management agreements and purchase and sale
contracts for REO properties.
Direct
conference calls and face-to-face meetings that may involve attorneys,
property owners, receivers, property managers, leasing/brokerage
agents, and mortgage bankers.

Bachelors in Finance or Real Estate with CCIM designation preferred.
Past
experience managing others, along with strong decision making ability.
Experience working specifically with REO and distressed loans a must.
