Insurance Job Description

Our client is a regional independent insurance agency that is looking to add to their commercial lines staff.  They are in need of a Commercial Lines Account Manager looking to join a dynamic team devoted to the success of their customers. 

Commercial Lines Account Manager Responsibilities

  • Provide solutions to customers and sales agents in order to maintain existing accounts and solicit new business/revenue.

  • Create renewal proposals and handle other renewal activities in coordination with sales agents.

  • Complete and timely processing of transactions; new, renewals, cancellation, endorsements, audits, etc. on behalf of customers.

  • Establish a partnership with insurance companies and proactively follow up.

  • Conduct regular customer contacts, analyze coverage, handle all customer and sales agent requests, direct contact with underwriters, market new business and renewals, and defer claims questions to claims manager. 

Commercial Lines Account Manager Requirements

  • 3-5 years of commercial lines account management experience in an agency environment.

  • Technical education (CIC) helpful, and a willingness to continue education is essential.

  • Iowa Producer's License required.

  • CISR designation a plus.
