Insurance Job Description

Our client is a large, independent retail insurance agency looking to add to their sales staff in Des Moines.  They are in growth mode and looking for an experienced Commercial Lines Sales Executive to join their team in a direct sales role.  They have the infrastructure in place to provide access to markets, great client service support, and ability to focus primarily on new business development activity. 

Commercial Lines Sales Executive Responsibilities

  • Responsible for building a profitable book of business through cold calling, cross selling, and professional networking.

  • Attend events in the community to build a broad network of decision makers at the C-level.

  • Develop a strategic marketing plan on an annual basis to increase revenue.

  • Maintain relationships with all internal and external customers to ensure efficient workflow.

  • Provide ongoing client service to existing customers. 

Commercial Lines Sales Executive Requirements

  • 3-5 years minimum of experience selling in a retail agency environment.

  • State insurance license required, with additional professional designations a plus.

  • Willing to acquire existing book of business, if applicable.
