Our client is one of the largest E&S providers in the country. With offices throughout the east coast and western United States, they offer commercial excess and specialty business through a network of wholesale general agents. They are expanding their medical professional liability division and are looking for an individual with strong underwriting and product development skills to lead the department. This position will provide professional liability, general liability and excess casualty products geared towards physicians, managed care facilities, social service operations and skilled nurse practitioners. This position will largely be structured around the skills and location of the successful candidate, so it can either be located in Phoenix or Chicago. The successful candidate will have 7+ years of casualty underwriting experience, preferably with a strong professional liability and E&S background. Prior management and market development responsibilities are a plus. Salary is flexible and commensurate with an individual's qualifications.
