Insurance Job Description

Our client has been a stable force in the insurance industry for many years and has experienced explosive growth in their Annuity division. They are seeking a qualified individual to act as a Claims Manager.

As Claims Manager you will

  • Manage the claims department to provide high quality service to our client's agents and policyholders
  • Lead the department to ensure that customer service goals are achieved through the teamwork of each member
  • Maintain internal procedures that comply with current state insurance departments, NASD and SEC regulations, and IRS tax regulations
  • Oversee daily reconciliation of all claims/benefit policy suspense, disbursement, and death claim clearing accounts
  • Utilize claims reports to monitor the number and age of pending claims, and to ensure the integrity of the claim reserve liability

Claims Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of 3-5 years of previous claims management experience in a progressive environment.
  • Experience working with annuity, life, or long term care (LTC) claims preferred.
  • Strong accounting skills and advanced knowledge of Excel a plus.
